Description

Observation

openQA test in scenario sle-15-SP6-Windows 10 BIOS-x86_64-wsl2-main+skip_reg@win10_64bit fails in
prepare_wsl

Tests fail due to variable windows wallpaper. We need to set the Windows image to always have the same wallpaper.

Test suite description

Basic WSL test Test scope:
1) Prepare WSL and other features in Windows
2) Download the image
3) Import embedded certificate from the image
4) Load image
5) Define users
6) Exit WSL

Reproducible

Fails since (at least) Build 2.371

Expected result

Last good: 2.370 (or more recent)

Further details

Always latest result in this scenario: latest

Seems that Microsoft has forced the daily wallpaper again...

After the first reboot during wsl_prepare, windows background switches from "picture" to "windows spotlight" automatically.
If I change the settings back to "picture", it did not change back to spotlight after another reboot.

We have to find a way to disable Windows Spotlight before the first reboot. https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/137477
