Description

It seems we are running version 1.37, which is so old, it does not even show up in the version overview anymore:

https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Version_lifecycle

Software should be updated to the latest LTS release.

This would then also make updating to a recent version of Elasticsearch easier:

as there seems to be already issues [1] with the version we are running, and somebody mentioned trying to take this on, is this still the case? otherwise I would do it

Hi @rrahl0, if you could help with this, that would be fantastic. Please be advised though, that this also requires an upgrade of our versions of Elasticsearch - there is a ticket for that as well, but it is set to private.

@crameleon, ahh that's why I didn't find the mentioned elasticsearch ticket.

yes, would be very interested. but I don't know what's the status of yoshio_sato (no idea about his actual account name) and I don't want to take it away if he agrees to actually do it in the near future

Hello!
It's me, yoshio_sato.
I would like to work on this issue in the nearest future, but I have not been contacted by anyone from the Admins team yet about getting access or discussing anything that potentiality should be discussed.
I unfortunately was unable to join the Admins meeting this week to discuss this ticket and introduce myself to the team.
