Motivation¶
In #109241 we already changed WORKER_HOSTNAME and SUT_IP to use FQDN instead of IPv4 addresses. We should do the same for VIRSH_GUEST or even better not need to duplicate the information.
Acceptance criteria¶
- AC1: VIRSH_GUEST in salt pillars never rely on bare IP addresses
Suggestions¶
- Read what happened in #109241#note-14 why we needed to revert from FQDN to IPv4 for s390x kvm VIRSH_GUEST entries
- Fix the problem at best within os-autoinst or os-autoinst-distri-opensuse or, if necessary, in salt states
- Ensure that production tests work after FQDN VIRSH_GUEST entries have been applied within the complete OSD infrastructure.
