Motivation

From https://okurz.github.io/SUSE_QE_Tools_overview_2022-11/#/2, SSD SAN storage (NetApp) for O3 would improve user experience but we can not just buy drives on our own but need to collaborate with Eng-Infra. According to #57494-9 both openQA results+assets storage on o3 is on rotating disk (cheap+slow), not SSD (fast+expensive). So we could crosscheck with Eng-Infra and then apply according fast storage with backing of QE sponsoring that as confirmed by runger.

Suggestions

  • Crosscheck current o3 setup with Eng-Infra
  • Ask Eng-Infra to have sufficient fast storage
  • Migrate existing storage, e.g. database+results there if not already on fast storage
  • As necessary get QE mgmt to back us up reg. sponsoring
