The machine qa-power8-5 was crashing trying to find the root partition but failed to do so after previous crashes. It looks like the kernel was looking for /dev/sda2 and failed to find that. We recovered the system, updated the grub config which now uses the partition UUID and have installed the old stable kernel again and locked the package. See #114565 for details.
