Shipping from Taipei with UPS Express Saver:
China 20Kg: Zone 10 6,552 TWD, Eur 168.10
India 2x 20Kg Zone 3 13554 TWD, Eur 347.75

(note that Indonesia is also in Zone 3, similar costs to China)

Shipping 60Kg to Taipei (assuming NO local production at all - that is a PESSIMISTIC view on things...) with UPS Express Saver: Eur 677,60

Total Eur 1193,45
(costs with UPS Express Saver from Nue is total Eur 1385,5)

I conclude from the above exercise that there are certainly costs savings possible by using local offices in the area of around 15-25%. If it is worth it depends thus very much on the volume we require.
