Description
Observation¶
https://gitlab.suse.de/qa-maintenance/bot-ng/-/jobs/1849033 failed but there seems to be no "Pipeline status emails" sent as we have referenced in https://progress.opensuse.org/projects/qa/wiki/Tools#Gitlab-Pipeline-Notifications
In https://gitlab.suse.de/qa-maintenance/bot-ng/-/settings/integrations/pipelines_email/edit I found
that there was no selection for "Branches for which notifications are to be sent". Maybe that needs to be done explicitly now after some recent gitlab upgrade? I did now select "Default branch and protected branches" but all projects should be crosschecked, maybe also using the API.
Acceptance criteria¶
- AC1: All common gitlab projects referenced from https://progress.opensuse.org/projects/qa/wiki/Tools#Gitlab-Pipeline-Notifications have a properly configured pipeline status email configuration sending emails to osd-admins@suse.de
Suggestions¶
- Crosscheck all referenced projects manually over email
- Ensure that the pull down menu for branch selection has a valid selection
- Consider testing actual email sending
- Also https://gitlab.suse.de/qa-maintenance/bot-ng/-/jobs/1863603 so it's not a one-off and persists
- Compare how e.g. osd-deployment is configured differently since that seems to work fine

All projects except for https://gitlab.suse.de/openqa/grafana-webhook-actions/-/settings/integrations/pipelines_email/edit had a valid setting. In https://gitlab.suse.de/openqa/grafana-webhook-actions/-/settings/integrations/pipelines_email/edit I set "Default branch".
