As described in the ticket, I tried to replace atftp - which is unmaintained (see https://www.suse.com/releasenotes/x86_64/SUSE-SLES/15/index.html#fate-323633) - with tftp. Unfortunately, since we depend on many symlinks outside of the tftp share, this broke more than it fixed (still problems reported by Dawei in https://sd.suse.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/SD-105827). So for now we have to focus on either the network stability between the two (physical) segments (qanetwork from 2nd floor down to srv2-ext) or try to implement retries in boot_from_pxe

We track this topic at three different places now:

As we don't see any big pending task from our side we decided to resolve this progress issue for now

This is an autogenerated message for openQA integration by the openqa_review script:

This bug is still referenced in a failing openQA test: create_hdd_hmc_fips_kernelmode_crypt_tool
https://openqa.suse.de/tests/10375315#step/bootloader/1

To prevent further reminder comments one of the following options should be followed:

  1. The test scenario is fixed by applying the bug fix to the tested product or the test is adjusted
  2. The openQA job group is moved to "Released" or "EOL" (End-of-Life)
  3. The bugref in the openQA scenario is removed or replaced, e.g. label:wontfix:boo1234

Expect the next reminder at the earliest in 28 days if nothing changes in this ticket.

As commented on the job: This is not related to #122302 which is about errors when failing to boot from network. Here you can see that the image filename is invalid.

Unfortunately putting a comment like you did with https://openqa.suse.de/tests/10375315#comment-734897 into the job will not work as the text "This is not related to poo#122302 …" will still see that ticket as the ticket reference that is taken over so it is very likely that the next failure in the same test module will again take over this ticket so the problem isn't resolved yet.

Okay, I removed my comment This is not related to poo#122302 which is about errors when failing to boot from network. Here you can see that the image filename is invalid. and filed #124029, so this ticket can be resolved. I don't know if it would or wouldn't work as I was hoping.

I think that's actually #119059. Replaced the bugref.
