Tested during 123¶

During the 12.3 release process, a set of features was tested. This list can be used as a comparison to have a good insight of the features that can and can't be covered using automatic tests.

Every item of this list was tested for the main RCs manually, using real hardware and virtual machines.

• Installation from scratch. Take the ISO media and install from a USB.
• Upgrade from 12.1. Using the same media, update from 12.1 to 12.3
• Upgrade from 12.2. Using the same media, update from 12.1 to 12.3
• Autologin / logout. The user can login into the machine.
• Test the Rescue system image (boot process only)
• Networking / Network manager
• NVidia (proprietary + nouveau) 3D. Using real hardware
• ATI/AMD card. Using real hardware
• External monitor (test also with ATI/NV above)
• Printing
• VPN
• PolKit. Ask KDE Apper password when updating?
• Test boot process in UEFI and SecureBoot (enabled / disabled)
• Online update via Apper and Zypper
• Test USB media (DVD in USB)
• Graphic GRUB
• Test SD Card
• Ethernet / Wifi / 3G
• Bluetooth
• LVM
• Snapper
• Encrypted root volume
