  • Priority changed from Urgent to Normal

Lowering priority. This is a test issue only, but I'm still investigating why it is appearing.

Cannot reproduce on first attempt:

bernhard@pdostal-server-suse-cz-b5f0615a0a961e75:/home> expect -c 'spawn sudo id -un;expect "password";send "nots3cr3t\r";interact' | grep ^root
root
bernhard@pdostal-server-suse-cz-b5f0615a0a961e75:/home> cat /etc/os-release
NAME="SLES"
VERSION="12-SP5"
VERSION_ID="12.5"
PRETTY_NAME="SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5"
ID="sles"
ANSI_COLOR="0;32"
CPE_NAME="cpe:/o:suse:sles:12:sp5"

This looks OK, when comparing to https://openqa.suse.de/tests/5676752#step/sudo/20

  • % Done changed from 0 to 50

The issue appears to me, that /usr/bin/id is not allowed to be run by user bernhard. Adding it to the list of allowed commands. See http://duck-norris.qam.suse.de/tests/5563#step/sudo/23

Prototype fix: http://duck-norris.qam.suse.de/tests/5567

Actions #5

  • Priority changed from Normal to Low

Given that this fails on all 12-SP5 runs I'd like to dig a bit deeper but I don't have the time right now. Leaving it open.
