Questions and answers from the community
- How can we make it easy for the community to contribute?
- use pagure to provide clear path to contribution
- move stuff from gitlab.infra.o.o to code.o.o to allow pull-requests
Status reports:
- monitoring now has (nearly) all machines
- several security fixes (automatic PRs) merged in various github repos
- mariadb upgrade blocked by upstream bug (currently intentionally down on galera1)
- working connection between heroes network in NBG and Provo (wireguard)
- test hosting static.o.o and status.o.o on AWS [Note: IP of static.o.o is also used for outgoing mail, be careful when changing it - make it staticaws.o.o]
- [ Hilarity ensues! ]
- heroes are interested in mentoring newcomers, need some preparatory work to split public salt repo parts
- https://moodle.opensuse.org/ can be used in mentoring efforts
- widehat.o.o (main mirror @QSC) will be replaced with new hardware (16x6 TB disks)
- LCP+Neal going to upgrade freeipa to 4.8 - can import old LDAP tree
- forums + download.o.o get most traffic in openSUSE, so we need to keep these working
Review of old tickets
- what should we do with blocked forum users/spammers? block them everywhere, or just in the forums? (no answer yet)
