Description
Observation¶
openQA test in scenario sle-15-SP3-Full-x86_64-allmodules+allpatterns+registration@svirt-hyperv-uefi fails in
sle15_workarounds
Command running 'sudo exec chvt 6; exit
does not work in svirt-hyperv.
As of now that test fails in first boot, which we have seen before.
Test suite description¶
Full Medium installation that covers the following cases:
1. Additional modules enabled using SCC (Legacy, Development Tools, Web and
Scripting, Containers, Desktop Applications);
2. All patterns installed;
3. System registration is skipped during installation;
4. Installation is validated by successful boot and that YaST does not
report any issues;
5. Registration is performed on the installed system.
Reproducible¶
Fails since (at least) Build 48.1
Expected result¶
Last good: 23.1 (or more recent)
Further details¶

The problem switching root-console also happens in svirt-xen-hvm: https://openqa.suse.de/tests/4793670

The issue is caused due to standard user not having permissions to run any sudo command. So, command #su -c 'chvt 6;exit' fails with "Permission denied" error.

We were advised by the developers not to use all modules during installation.
