Description

Hello.
I want to create an openSUSE mirror in Ukraine.
I already have a Manjaro mirror (its public but in testing stage).
Support:
IPv4 and IPv6 (6to4 using NetAssist tunnel broker)
http, https, rsync (only 2 connections, if need I can add more)
100 MBps bandwidth.
Want to sync opensuse-hotstuff-160gb from stage.opensuse.org.
My public IPv4 address: 93.126.115.182
My IPv6 site address: http://[2a01:d0:fa02:5555:6829:17ff:fe25:da0c]/
My domain address (resolves both v4 and v6) fastmirror.pp.ua

Please enable access for my IP to stage.opensuse.org

For access to stage.opensuse.org, we would like to have your addresses reverse mapped properly:

fastmirror.pp.ua -> 93.126.115.182, 2a01:d0:fa02:5555:6829:17ff:fe25:da0c
93.126.115.182 -> fastmirror.pp.ua
2a01:d0:fa02:5555:6829:17ff:fe25:da0c -> fastmirror.pp.ua

Currently I see:

93.126.115.182 -> ip-73b6.proline.net.ua
2a01:d0:fa02:5555:6829:17ff:fe25:da0c -> no mapping

OK, i need a time to accept changes on ISP side (IPv4 address). About IPv6... well, I'm not sure what will happen, since the IPv6 address tunnel broker is in no hurry to change the NS record on the server (if at all), so the PTR record may not be. What else do I need to open access while I'm setting up records?

For now, you could just force your rsync to use ipv4-only.

What else do I need to open access while I'm setting up records?

I suggest you start by sync'ing from rsync.opensuse.org, and I'll create the mirror database entry here. When you're ready with the reverse mappings, I add you to the ACL for stage.o.o

OK, PTR record for IPv4 edited and now is correct.

About repo, does it make sense to make a repository only with hotstuff 80G? Also, is it possible to sync only one architecture like x86_64?

Currently, the 80Gb hotstuff is a bit bigger, about 120Gb. It only contains Tumbleweed. Wrt architecture, in TW we have i586 and x86_64, you could probably skip i586 and i686.

A couple of things -

  • I need an operator name and an operator URL (website?) for your mirror.
  • rsync access is not yet working, we need an opensuse module.
