The ISO are gone, so we cannot restart an old test from 20200911 snapshot.

I tried:

  • older qemu-uefi-aarch64 => no change
  • kernel 5.8.4 (vs 5.8.7) => no change

The autoinst-log.txt contains a number of warnings similar to:

[2020-09-23T18:41:59.058 GMT] [debug] WARNING: check_asserted_screen took 13.10 seconds for 20 candidate needles - make your needles more specific
[2020-09-23T18:41:59.065 GMT] [debug] WARNING: There is some problem with your environment, we detected a stall for 13.6040179729462 seconds

Starting qemu outside os-autoinst is also slow.

I tried to revert qemu to r179 from https://build.opensuse.org/package/revisions/openSUSE:Factory:ARM/qemu => no change

It is slow with Jump ISO as well: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/1405390
So, definitely a host problem.

I tried kernel 5.7.11, no changes.

Tried qemu 5.0.0 => no change. I am wondering if the change is not outside the OS (firmware or hardware).

No firmware nor hardware updates happened. Could be related to https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1178227
