closed[u] test fails in pam_sh
0%
Description
Observation¶
pam has been updated to version 1.4 with various changes (e.g. pam_Cracklib is deprecated); the openQA test needs to be updated to follow those changes
The tests come from https://github.com/pbrezina/pam-test
And are available into test code under https://github.com/os-autoinst/os-autoinst-distri-opensuse/tree/master/data/pam_test
They are executed via openQA in https://github.com/os-autoinst/os-autoinst-distri-opensuse/blob/master/tests/console/pam.pm
Acceptance criteria¶
- AC1: The test module
pam_sh
passes or fails in a product bug - AC2: The test module is adapted to work for Tumbleweed and SLE-SP2/Leap 15.2
Suggestions¶
- Check that the test code contains the last version from the upstream test
- Adapt the test to work for Tumbleweed and SLE15-SP2/SP3
Reproducible¶
- Fails in scenario opensuse-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-extra_tests_in_textmode@64bit since Build 20200614
- Current occurrence 20200708
- Expected result (Last good): 20200610

Fails again in Tumbleweed: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/1334234#step/ntp_client/35

The test fails because the deny access if too many attempts fail
case requires pam_tally2.so
which seems to have got moved to the pam-deprecated
package which is not installed by default.

This is an autogenerated message for openQA integration by the openqa_review script:
This bug is still referenced in a failing openQA test: jeos-extra@64bit_virtio-2G
https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/1355170
To prevent further reminder comments one of the following options should be followed:
- The test scenario is fixed by applying the bug fix to the tested product or the test is adjusted
- The openQA job group is moved to "Released"
- The label in the openQA scenario is removed
