action #64800
closedThe worker openqaworker9.suse.de is down
0%
Description
The OSD deployment failed at 2020-03-25. The fail reason is that openqaworker9.suse.de is down.
The command ipmitool ... power status
shows that 'Error: Unable to establish IPMI v2 / RMCP+ session' .
The solution is:
- Create a ticket in http://infra.nue.suse.com/
- remove openqaworker9 from the salt keys on OSD by using
salt-key -d openqaworker9.suse.de
- restart OSD deployment.

alright so please track the ticket as "Blocked" as you will be notified about updates in the infra ticket. I am setting a "due date" so that you will also receive a reminder from progress to crosscheck if you have not received an update from SUSE IT within that timeframe.

ticket was resolved, machine was back up. It was immediately executing some jobs but that caused some problems because the worker was not up-to-date. I manually installed package updates and rebooted after kernel upgrades. Then I applied salt high state from osd and I checked that tests executed fine.
