I have added 'mirror-cpt-01.mirror.ac.za' to the rsync acl, it is active as of now.
FYI, I don't see a reverse map for 155.232.191.55 ?

mirror@opensuse.org mailing list - but is it possible to have
mirroradmin@tenet.ac.za ?

I don't see either of those two, but I have subscribed mirroradmin@tenet.ac.za, you only need to confirm.
Currently, we have "aa@tenet.ac.za" listed as mirror admin, I guess mirroradmin@tenet would be better ?

1.) the FTP URL has changed from: ftp://opensuse.mirror.ac.za/opensuse/
to ftp://opensuse.mirror.ac.za/
2.) we have enabled TLS on our mirrors, so openSUSE is now
https://opensuse.mirror.ac.za

Please let us know if you come across any issues with the mirror, or
have any additional questions, or feedback.

the process of rebuilding our mirror server onto a new platform.

2.) I would like to request access to stage.opensuse.org for our new
server - I can confirm that we will adhere to the conditions outlined at
https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Mirror_infrastructure on the new
server. - The new mirror that we will be syncing from is:

ipv4: 155.232.191.55
ipv6: 2001:4200:fffc::55
