Description

Observation

openQA test in scenario opensuse-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-apparmor_profile@64bit fails in
usr_sbin_smbd

Test suite description

Maintainer: llzhao@suse.de.
Test AppArmor profiles with an existing disk image.

Reproducible

Fails since (at least) Build 20190701

Expected result

Last good: 20190630 (or more recent)

Further details

Always latest result in this scenario: latest

The issue seems to be that the test creates the directory /home/home/testdir - but later on tries to chown /home/testdir. Apparently, hitting 'alt-'s to pick the directory is not reliably pre-selecting the text to overwrite it, but sometimes appends to it.

This test has been failing in the past, usually with reruns curing it. But since recently at least the failure started to become consistent

Thanks for the investigation, yes, it is the root cause.

How to fix:
Before typing string, do this,
send key 'ctrl+a' to select the whole text, then send key "delete" to delete the selected text.
