closed[sle][functional][y][sporadic] test fails in yast2_bootloader - rework exit handling of yast2 bootloader
0%
Description
Observation¶
openQA test in scenario sle-15-SP1-Installer-DVD-s390x-minimal+base@s390x-kvm-sle12 fails in
yast2_bootloader
Currently, we are detecting exit from yast2 bootloader with needles and by scanning the serial console for certain string with yast2 bootloader's return code.
Despite that, this solution seems to be robust and redundant we can encounter sporadic failures as yast2_bootloader, where the ncurses leftover is not present, therefore the yast2_console-finished needle does not match.
Other than that yast2_console-finished needle seems to be matched twice in a row of the successful runs.

Test suite description¶
Maintainers: okurz
Select a minimal textmode installation by starting with the default and unselecting all patterns except for "base" and "minimal". Not to be confused with the new system role "minimal" introduced with SLE15.
Reproducible¶
Fails since (at least) Build 200.1
Expected result¶
Last good: 199.1 (or more recent)
Further details¶

We have adjusted scenario for s390x. Solution doesn't seem to be perfect, but let's keep it this way and hope that we can rework it with libyui-restapi.
