Description

Hi,

I notice a huge delay in mail transfer from @opensuse.org mailing lists - some
4-6h. Mostly factory list seems to be affected.
Is the problem from your end of on the GMX-end?
Can you pls check?

Thanks
Axel

I'm afraid that's a known feature ;-)

AFAIK we (have to) use a rate limit for outgoing mails to GMX and some other providers because they don't like to be "flooded".

(Closing, but also assigning to Per - Per, please correct me if what I wrote is wrong ;-)

You are 100% correct. Two days back, I did adapt the delay rate to 3sec, it should lead to shorter delays. We don't know the rate limits applied by e.g. 1&1, so I'm being a little conservative.

Looking at the logs, today I do see up to 5-6h for gmx[de|at|net|ch|com, yahoo.de and web.de. Yesterday it was up to 24hours. I have adapted the delay rate to 1sec, we'll see what effect that has.
