Description

Observation

openQA test in scenario sle-12-SP4-Server-DVD-Post-s390x-om_proxyscc_sles12sp2_ltss+defpatterns_full_update_by_yast_s390x@s390x-kvm-sle12 fails in
register_system
to access the path on osd.
https://openqa.suse.de/tests/2256671#step/register_system/60 shows a more detailed error:

curl error: 9: Server denied you to change to the given directory, temp file size 0 bytes

Reproducible

Fails since Build 0421, reproducibly, but the same build also worked so maybe a maintenance update introduced a problem or a change on osd itself but not on a worker

Expected result

Last good: 0421

Further details

Should it be the repository issue? I could visit the ftp URL through browser.

It is a link to /fixed/SLE-12-SP2-Server-DVD-s390x-GM-DVD1 on ftp server. Is it possible that the installer failed to handle ftp path with symlink?

According to YaST2 log, curl is trying to download ftp://openqa.suse.de/SLE-12-SP2-Server-DVD-s390x-GM-DVD1/add_on_products.xml. The file add_on_products.xml is not exited there, so it always return: RETR response: 550

No idea how the url was added, but it is not during previous steps, so I think it is come from the image. The first time it failed in history is also the time when image changed to this one.

Since we do not need to continue work on it so we do not re-create SLE-12-SP2 image, close as resolved.
