Observation

openQA test in scenario kubic-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-microos@64bit-4G-HD40G fails in
first_boot

With this change in zypper https://github.com/openSUSE/zypper/pull/201 read only filesystem no longer allow to executing zypper, and if its transactional server mode then zypper recommends use transactional-update.

Reproducible

Fails since (at least) Build 20180913 (current job)

Expected result

Last good: 20180911 (or more recent)

I think the zypper change has gone way too far, and will never be compatible with the transactional server role in its current form

As this will block any practical use of both Kubic & the Transactional Server role, I think we'll need to revert the zypper change to make the snapshot acceptable

That said, I've asked for a second/third opinion by the zypper & transactional-update maintainers on the PR in question: https://github.com/openSUSE/zypper/pull/201

Agree, I reverted zypper and did a check-in round also, let's waiting for next snapshot :)
