Description

Greetings,

I have been mirroring opensuse for many years for the benefit of several L3T divisions.
This reduces upstream mirror loads and improves our security footprint.
For the last year I've mirrored from rsync.opensuse.org::opensuse-full-with-factory.

A few weeks ago I asked how to get access to .../opensuse/repostiories/devel:/languages:
Request #36661
I was informed I could not access stage without being a public mirror but that I
Could access: rsync.opensuse.org::opensuse-full-really-everything

I have been doing daily rsync via cron.
My working filters for rsync.opensuse.org::opensuse-full-really-everything.

  • .~tmp~/

  • /tumbleweed/***
  • /update/***
  • /repositories
  • /repositories/devel:
  • /repositories/devel:/languages:/***
  • /repositories**
  • * This worked until last week approximately 8018/06/21. I now repeatedly get RSYNC I/O error 5 ,when attempting to view any of the rsync.opensuse.org:: listed-repositories. (e.g. rsync -v rsync.opensuse.org::opensuse-full-really-everything/* ) Other Opensource RSYNC repositories are working fine.

Has something changed?

rsync: link_stat "/." (in opensuse-full-really-everything) failed: Input/output error (5)

I don't seem to be able to get to widehat, can you have a look?

you can get to widehat if you go though another VM eg ssh -A elsa, ssh widehat

Yeah, I thought so too - I tried with anna first, but when trying widehat, I am asked for a password ? Am I missing some setup?

Greetings,

The below issue may have resurfaced.
A different error message may indicate a new issue.
Since 2018/08/26, I get "rsync: failed to connect to rsync.opensuse.org: Connection timed out (110)".
RSYNC is successful to other sites as a diagnostic note.
Any ideas?

George Milner
