Description

Hi,

openSUSE Landing Page hosts SUSE Logo as favicon (based on colour), my
suggestion is to change it to currently used software-o-o favicon

https://www.opensuse.org/favicon.ico

https://software.opensuse.org/favicon.ico

Some pages depend on that favicon, so few of them would change, instant
upgrade to newer looks :D

www.o.o lives on https://github.com/openSUSE/landing-page/ - maybe you can send a pull request? ;-)

The favicon seems to live in assets/images/ and build/images/

summing up the IRC discussion:

/favicon.ico isn't in git, but it should be possible to add it with a pull request.

However, we'll need to notify the server admin to delete the current favicon.ico - otherwise "git pull" will error out because the newly added file already exists. (While on it, we should probably also ask for "git status" so that we know if there are more files that aren't in git.)

Christian: as you meanwhile know how to use "path_beg" in haproxy and www.opensuse.org points meanwhile to the Nuremberg proxy ... can I ask you to check and do the magic to deliver the "right" favicon ?

You are a bit too fast - I'll switch over on monday to give everybody a chance to point out other possible "surprises" hosted on www.o.o. Maybe /openid/ is not the only special service there, even if I hope it is ;-)

Once we are sure that everything works and we don't have to switch back, we can even fix the favicon by simply adding it to the github repo.
(The reason why we didn't do this yet is that there is a manually uploaded favicon on the Provo server, and adding a favicon to the git repo would most probably break the auto-deployment.)

I switched over www.o.o to Nuremberg today, it's now living on the narwal* VMs.

In the end (and after some IRC discussion), we decided to setup a redirect to static.o.o/favicon.ico in haproxy (for several pages hosted on narwal, not only www.o.o) to avoid duplication of the favicon in several repos.
