Description

I am having issues with my @opensuse.org email alias bouncing. I thought this was from my membership being suspended but now that I have that fixed I am still having the issue.

My email address in connect is set to the address the alias should be sending to. I noticed that my Novell/MicroFocus account had my @opensuse.org email address set it in, so if the alias is using what is set in that account, perhaps that is why? I could really use some help sorting this out.

Thanks,

The ticket was opened by user "Druonysus", and...

# osc whois Druonysus
Druonysus: "Drew Adams" <druonysus@opensuse.org>

I just sent a test mail, and got this back:

This is the mail system at host mx1.suse.de.
[...]
               The mail system

<druonysus@opensuse.org>: User unknown in virtual alias table

which confirms that the alias is really broken, and might also explain why Drew didn't answer the question ;-)

https://connect.opensuse.org/pg/profile/Druonysus says that he is a member, so in theory the alias should exist. Connect also lists a @gmail.com as mail address, which might work better to contact Drew for now ;-)

Well, I am back in the Member group in Connect and my profile shows that I am a member again...

That makes me believe it should be restored...

I am not sure what the most authoritative place to validate that is. My understanding is that Connect is IT.

fixed, but it will take some time for the change to propagate. Please try again in like an hour or two and let me know if it doesn't work
