Description

Observation

As observed following jobs on https://openqa.suse.de/tests?match=:investigate:

Take for example https://openqa.suse.de/tests/17268356#comments which has

Automatic investigation jobs for job 17268356:

    jeos-main:investigate:retry: t#
    jeos-main:investigate:last_good_tests:88c6d7e5407eafe6d522892721398816dbbe713e: t#
    jeos-main:investigate:last_good_build:20250403-1: t#
    jeos-main:investigate:last_good_tests_and_build:88c6d7e5407eafe6d522892721398816dbbe713e+20250403-1: t#

so empty "t#" and no proper test links

https://github.com/os-autoinst/scripts/pull/387 Exit trigger_jobs when clone fails

This was generating comments with empty ids for jobs returning with this error message when trying to clone:

Current job 4822599 will fail, because the repositories for the below updates are unavailable

So it just created additional (wrong) investigation comments, but everything else was just working like before

The comments with the missing ids don't happen anymore.
I checked one job from the logs" Current job 17281378 will fail, because the repositories for the below updates are unavailable"
However, now I saw that there is this leftover comment from the investigation start that we delete later in the normal case:
https://openqa.suse.de/tests/17281378#comments
"Starting investigation for job 17281378"

But that has been the case also before.
We should have a new ticket about fixing that.

  • Subject changed from [osd] openqa-investigate job comments broken, missing job ids to openqa-investigate job comments broken, missing job ids
  • Status changed from Feedback to Resolved

I created a followup #180218

Also I removed "osd" as it was not an issue that would only show up on osd.
