Motivation¶

Now we have many autoyast profiles in support images group for installation/migration on different SPs include 15SP4, 15SP5, 15SP6. There are more difference for 15SP4 compare with other later SPs for somehow older version.
For 15SP5, 15SP6 and 15SP7, the modules/patterns/packages should more similar, and only difference on ltss, so we can consider to create autoyast template profile to avoid the duplicated files.

Note: Keep care whether any difference between SPs for modules/patterns/packages, if the difference is must needed we can reserve the profiles for SPs and do not use template for such specific test scenario.

Scope¶

SLES 15SP5,15SP6 profiles in data/yam/autoyast/support_images/ for all arches.

Acceptance criteria¶

• AC1: Create autoyast template profile for SLES 15SP5 and 15SP6(remove old profiles after created dynamic profile).
• AC2: Apply the changes to related test suites.
