Hello,

I used to be able to join in the https://meet.opensuse.org/bar in any
browser or any cell phone app (Android or iOS).

But for a while now, about ~6 months, I haven't been able to join with any
cellphone app anymore.

Also, I've noticed in other online communities, compared to the bar, the
meet.opensuse.org is a bit out of date.

However, some friends in the bar and I noticed the test-meet server is
actually pretty up to date.

What's going on?

Is this in preparation for the new bar? Because that's what everybody is
using now. (https://test-meet.opensuse.org/bar)

Hi,

the production Jitsi instance on meet.opensuse.org runs an old version - the Jitsi mobile app, provided by upstream Jitsi developers, does not accept connections to old versions of the Jitsi server stack.

I think there already are some ongoing efforts on installing the version already available on the testing instance (meet-test.opensuse.org) on the production one.
