Description

Hi,

https://get.opensuse.org/legacy returns HTTP 500. Do we still maintain this part of get.o.o or should I remove the Wiki references which led me to it?

Best,
Georg

I think Christian knows this stuff really well, but get.o.o goes to jekyll.o.o, and here I see a process that got oom killed.

[Mon Jun 13 14:04:57 2022] oom-kill:constraint=CONSTRAINT_NONE,nodemask=(null),cpuset=/,mems_allowed=0,global_oom,task_memcg=/,task=ruby.ruby2.7,pid=10505,uid=1000
[Mon Jun 13 14:04:57 2022] Out of memory: Killed process 10505 (ruby.ruby2.7) total-vm:1018396kB, anon-rss:673040kB, file-rss:0kB, shmem-rss:0kB
[Mon Jun 13 14:04:57 2022] oom_reaper: reaped process 10505 (ruby.ruby2.7), now anon-rss:0kB, file-rss:0kB, shmem-rss:0kB

I see nginx is running and https://get.o.o works fine.

This is the 500 when tried from my address (185.85.248.1) :

This happens about once an hour, so I guess it is unrelated.

Hmm, we could bring it back, in the past it showed the last stable before the newest one (so right now it would show 15.3, since 15.4 is out), but we switched over to using https://get.opensuse.org/leap/$version for all the variants instead, for the sake of consistency

In the German wiki it was referenced as a place to download legacy versions, so I expected to find pre-15.2 releases there. If that's not the case, I suppose we can retire it and remove the references.

We also intentionally don't display those old versions for download, but you can probably still find the links in get-o-o source code https://github.com/openSUSE/get-o-o/tree/main/_data

http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/discontinued/ is the more or less official "keeper" of old releases, I think download.o.o will redirect to gwdg.

404 now, I guess the old wiki references can be updated to point to GDWG in the future.
