Redmine openSUSE admin - tickets #119101 (New): https://news.opensuse.org/tag/adaptablelinuxplatform give...https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/1191012022-10-20T08:28:12ZGeraldPfeifergp@suse.com

Hi folks,

following an old link to
https://news.opensuse.org/tag/adaptablelinuxplatform
I was surprised for news.opensuse.org to respond with error 500
(internal server error).

That page might not exist, or not exist any more, but wouldn't that
be a 404?

That made me curious, and indeed https://news.opensuse.org/asdfa or
any other page does not exist results in 500? Some server config issue?

Thanks,
Gerald

openSUSE admin - tickets #90494 (New): https://lists.opensuse.org/archive/ stops in November 2020...https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/904942021-03-29T14:42:48ZGeraldPfeifergp@suse.com

I've been looking for some mails in the mailing list archives, and not having the
address at hand used to search for "opensuse project archive".

The first two hits are https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-project/
and https://lists.opensuse.org/archive/ both of which only have links
that stop in November 2020.

The link to the current archives is not even on the first page of Google search
results.

I believe we're looking at (at least) two issues here:

"Findability" and search engine ranking of our current archives.

Could we get one jump page to refer to both old and new archives?

I understand replacing @ by (a), but verbatim showing < and > looks wrong,
and doing that and adding "om>" definitely does.
