Redmine openSUSE admin - tickets #96458 (Closed): fedocal Calender Systemhttps://progress.opensuse.org/issues/964582021-08-02T11:49:10ZPharaoh_Atemngompa13@gmail.com

A number of folks in the community want a calendar solution for scheduling community meetings properly.

The solution suggested was fedocal: https://pagure.io/fedocal

We need to get this themed accordingly, packaged up, and deployed.

I noticed yesterday that SSH push to code.opensuse.org hosted Git repos wasn't working. I am getting the following error:

Hey guys,

heanet.ie is down and broken, breaking all Ubuntu targets.

Can you guys please switch to another mirror?

For example, this one works and has a huge pipe (20Gbps):
http://ftp.halifax.rwth-aachen.de/ubuntu/

openSUSE admin - tickets #29568 (Resolved): Please update CentOS 6 and 7 meta to include SIG reposhttps://progress.opensuse.org/issues/295682017-12-18T19:06:23ZPharaoh_Atemngompa13@gmail.com

Could you please update the CentOS 6 and 7 meta as I have attached to
this email? It adds additional repositories from the CentOS SIGs that
function as addons for people to use or build on.

For some classes of packages, some of these addons are absolutely
necessary for building on. For example, the SCL repos are required for
compiling code with newer compilers.

If you want to put them in a Addon or SIG subproject under CentOS-6
and CentOS-7 projects, that's fine too.

But I'm having major issues because I can't access these things on OBS
and it's a pain to rebuild all this stuff unnecessarily...

openSUSE admin - tickets #19900 (Closed): Consider moving mail lists to mailman 3 + posterious an...https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/199002017-06-19T12:28:31ZPharaoh_Atemngompa13@gmail.com

The current mailing list interface (mlmmj) is spartan and bare-bones. It's not particularly friendly to users on the web site side, and subscriptions and email management is rather annoying. It's also not mobile friendly.

Please consider migrating to Mailman 3 with Posterious and HyperKitty, as Fedora has done. There are several advantages to such a migration:

Posterious + HyperKitty enable a fully website centric model of interacting with mailing lists (forum style).

Authentication of users is handled via OAuth, so it can be tied to the openSUSE single sign-on system.

The web frontends are fully responsive and all threads + messages have permanent links that can be shared reliably.

Message and thread search works very well within each mail list.

Multiple email addresses can be managed under a single ML account (corp, personal, etc.) making it much easier to keep track of all subscriptions

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Please add Mageia 6 to OBS. Mageia 6 is nearly ready for release (is
about to reach RC stage).

I've attached prjconf and meta configs for Mageia 6 for all supported
architectures (x86_64, i586, armv7hl, armv5tl).

In addition, I've created slightly tweaked Mageia Cauldron
configuration files that can be used to update the targets
appropriately. Please update Cauldron to match what I've provided.

Thanks in advance.

openSUSE admin - tickets #11694 (Resolved): Ubuntu 16.04 LTS prjconfhttps://progress.opensuse.org/issues/116942016-04-22T00:58:32ZPharaoh_Atemngompa13@gmail.com

Hello,

I've been working on developing build target configuration for Ubuntu
16.04 LTS, and I've made some progress on it. As of now, I'm blocked
on an issue with ifupdown, which I'm not sure is actually an Ubuntu
problem or an OBS one, but I'd appreciate someone jumping into the
Launchpad issue with feedback about it1.

In any case, I'm attaching my prjconf for an xUbuntu_16.04 target for
build.opensuse.org. Please review, improve, and use. I'd like to see
Ubuntu 16.04 supported through build.opensuse.org as soon as possible.

I would also greatly appreciate having the debbuild engine work on day
1 for Ubuntu 16.04, since I use that quite regularly. I've prepared an
update to debbuild to bring it up to the latest version from upstream
as well2.

Also another note, please add %ubuntu macros matching %ubuntu_version
ones throughout supported releases, like I did in the attached
prjconf.
