Redmine openQA Project - action #43229 (Rejected): Could openQA automatic takeover more than 1 known bsc/poohttps://progress.opensuse.org/issues/432292018-11-01T05:59:31Zyosunyosun@suse.com

The most useful feature for test reviewer in openQA is automatic takeover 1 bug from previous run.
I have a test contain 6 bugs and 1 poo, but every time openqa automatic takeover 1 bug from previous builds. Could openqa automatic takeover them all?

When I review qa_test_systemd failed in x86_64 and ppc64le(https://openqa.suse.de/tests/1190316), I found it fails because of missing nfs package, which is in legacy module. (from screenlog in https://openqa.suse.de/tests/1190316/file/userspace_systemd-qaset.tar.bz2)
Problem: nothing provides ntp needed by qa_test_systemd-1-31.1.x86_64
Solution 1: do not install qa_test_systemd-1-31.1.x86_64
Solution 2: break qa_test_systemd-1-31.1.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies

Here we can find nfs package

Now if the qa_run.pm related testcases fails not in what they tested, it'll hard to judge where it fails with. To split qa_run.pm into process is a solution for that.

Split it in to:

Booting the OS

Preparation test package

Run test process

Upload log and analysis process
It's a basic idea, the real change will depends. But the target is fixed to solve the debug problem.

In this moment, we have acceptance running in x86_64 and ppc64le in openQA. https://openqa.suse.de/tests/overview?distri=sle&version=12-SP3&build=0365&groupid=55
It reduce a lot of time to make the whole process of milestone candidate build acceptance test. Before x86_64 and ppc64le runs stress acceptance tests, we need 1 day to finish all test. And now, it need only half day to make it.
If s390x can enable following stress test, it'll help to reduce more time in each product milestone test.
